LIFE SENTENCE TO 21 CPM WORKERS

Life sentence to 21 CPM workers in murder case HOOGHLY: As many as 21 workers of CPM have been sentenced to life term by a local court here in a two-year-old case of murder of their party leader. The additional district and sessions judge of Arambagh's first track court, Goutam Sengupta, on Wednesday sentenced 21 party workers including, local leader Sk Asgar Ali, for killing Jahur Ali, a CPM peasant leader on May 25, 2006. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on each of them.
