Bombay HC asks police to file chargesheet tn German girl rape case 1/7/2009 A division bench of Bombay High Court in Goa directed state police to file chargesheet against the accused in the German minor rape case within a week. The bench comprising Justice N A Britto and Justice P B Mazumdar also asked the police to beef up security at all sensitive places, including beaches, in the state. The case, involving Goa education minister Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate’s son Rohit Monserrate and state Public Works Department minister Churchill Alemao’s nephew Warren Alemao, had hit the headlines in October last year close on the heels of British teenager Scarlette Keeling’s murder and rape case in the state in February. Mr Babush was also accused of abetting his son in the case. Police had investigated the case but not yet filed the chargesheet in the proper court. The case was taken up suo motu by the High Court in public interest following media uproar on the issue. UNI
