Kerala HC: Lawyers Express Concern Over Judges Conduct 1/17/2009 The Kerala High Court Advocates Association passed a resolution expressing ‘concern and anguish’ over the conduct of judges making derogatory remarks in matters unconnected with cases before them. The resolution, which was passed at an extraordinary general body meeting, also says that the trend was ‘disparaging’ and would lower judiciary’s esteem among the general public. These type of activities would amount to contempt of one’s own court, it said. The resolution, moved by senior advocate B Gopakumar and seconded by advocates Johnson Maniyanni and B Swathi Kumar, was passed with vast majority. UNI
