5 Delhi Blasts Accused Send To Judicial Remand Till Feb 4 21 Jan 2009, 1347 hrs IST, PTI NEW DELHI: Five suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists allegedly involved in the Delhi serial blasts were on Wednesday produced before a Delhi court which remanded them to judicial custody till February 4. Mohd Saif, Zeeshan Ahmed, Zia-ur-Rehman, Saquib Nissar and Mohd Shakeel were sent to 14 days' judicial custody by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja. The accused were brought from Ahmedabad. The court took cognizance of the chargesheet filed against them in the September 13 serial blasts in the Capital and posted the matter for February 4. The Public Prosecutor also informed the court that forensic report in a case registered in connection with Barakhamba Road blast were still awaited while sanction for prosecuting the accused in the case had already been obtained. The court also directed the police to supply copies of chargesheet to all the accused in cases registered in connection with Karol Bagh, Greater Kailash-I and Barakhamba Road explosions. A total of five FIR were registered in the September 13 blasts which claimed 26 lives and left scores injured. All the five accused were sent to Gujarat on October 27 for probing their alleged role in Ahmedabad serial blasts on July 26. Meanwhile, the court also issued production warrants for January 29 against the alleged co-founder of Indian Mujahideen Mohd Sadiq Sheikh and member Quamuddin Kapadia who are in Ahmedabad. Another accused, Mohd Hakim, is presently in judicial custody. Mohd Saif who was also sent to Rajasthan for his alleged role in the Jaipur Serial blasts was brought to the Capital earlier while the other four were brought here yesterday from Gujarat. The police have filed three chargesheet in connection with the serial blasts. Mohd Saif was apprehended from the Batla House at Jamia Nagar in south Delhi while three others -- Zia, Shakeel and Saquib -- were arrested on a day later on September 20 from Shaheen Bagh. Zeeshan, who managed to escape during the encounter on September 19, was later arrested from the office of a TV news channel.
