Allahabad HC: Awas Vikas Parishad employees entitled to pension

The Allahabad High Court directed that the employees of the Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad be given family pension and gratuity. The directions were given by the Lucknow Bench comprising Justice Uday Krishna Dhawan and Justice B A Zaidi. The officers and workers of the Parishad were not given any such facility. Pronouncing the judgement on a petition filed on behalf of Pritam Singh, the Bench expressly mentioned that all the employees will be entitled to pension. The petitioner had said that employees of the Parishad were not given family pension and gratuity even after there being provisions for the same. The petition also said the pension was not being provided even after the state government recommending the same. UNI
