Mumbai, Feb 5 (PTI) The Bombay High Court today set aside the appointment of senior IPS officer Anami N Roy as Maharashtra's Director General of Police, terming it as contrary to law. The court also asked the state government to appoint a new DGP in four weeks. Roy was appointed to the top post in February last year. Another IPS officer Suprakash Chakravarti had filed an application before Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), challenging the appointment on the ground that Roy had superseded three other officers to the post.
