Karnataka HC CJ Appeals Govt To Fill Up Vacant Posts 2/16/2009 Karnataka High Court Chief Justice P D Dinakaran appealed to the state government to fill up vacant posts of Public Prosecutors in various sub-ordinate courts as it was hampering the speedy delivery of justice in the state. Speaking on the concluding day of the two-day State Level Conference of the Karnataka Judicial Officers, he said as many as 103 posts of Public Prosecutors remained vacant for many months. Expressing confidence that the government would act quickly on the issue, he said ‘the judicial officers are the real face of the justice delivery system.’ He also appealed to the state government to look into other grievances, including Home Orderly Assistants and residential quarters of judicial officers. Karnataka Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mr Suresh Kumar who also spoke on the occasion assured that the government would take necessary steps in this regard soon. UNI
