HC To Hear Maya Kodnani Case On Mar 9

Ahmedabad, 3 Mar 2009, : Gujarat high court adjourned the hearing on SIT plea for cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to state minister for women and child welfare and higher education Maya Kodnani and senior VHP functionary Jaydeep Patel. Since Kodnani's lawyers sought more time from court to file a reply to SIT's case with regard to Kodnani's involvement in 2002 riots at Naroda, the hearing will now take place on March 9. SIT maintains that Kodnani led the violent mob and instigated people against members of minority community during the riots.
