Delhi HC terminates Rajasthan Royals contract with Bajaj Alliance

3/23/2009 The Bajaj Alliance logo on the Rajasthan Royals team jersey will not be seen anymore as the contract between the duo has been terminated before the Delhi High Court. Both the parties made a compromise before the Delhi High Court and the contract for the sponsorship was terminated for the next seasons. Mr Anish Dayal, lawyer appearing on behalf of Rajasthan Royals, said they had filed a suit against Bajaj Alliance for not clearing the dues of the sponsorship amount during the last season. The matter was settled among the parties and the settlement terms were put forward before justice Anil Kumar who endorsed the same, giving his consent for cancellation of the contract for future matches. Rajasthan Royals are the defending champions of the multi-million dollar Indian Premier League (IPL) which this year will not be staged in the country due to security reasons
