Cases against M F Husain quashed

Cases against M F Husain quashed Delhi High Court has quashed proceedings against noted painter M F Husain for allegedly painting obscene pictures of Hindu goddesses. The move taken by the Delhi High Court comes as a relief to the renowned artist M F Husain. Eight criminal cases had been filed against Husain in places including Delhi, Indore, Rajkot and Haridwar. All these cases were transferred to the Patiala House Court here on the apex court's directive. Details of the verdict are awaited. The cases accused Husain of hurting religious sentiments by painting controversial pictures of Hindu Goddesses.
