Charge sheet filed against Varun

 The Pilibhit police on Wednesday filed a charge sheet against BJP MP Varun Gandhi in the CJM court here for his alleged hate speeches he delivered during the Lok Sabha elections.

The police have recorded the version of 38 witnesses.

According to a Home Department spokesman, the charge sheet is related to the FIR lodged by the police in the Barkherha police station in Pilibhit district on March 19. Mr. Gandhi’s surrender and subsequent arrest on March 28 had triggered violence by his supporters.
