Chhattisgarh High Court issued directives to inform Agriculture Minister Chandrashekhar Sahu about execution of the election petition’s notice by publishing it in Raipur newspapers.
Justice Dheerendra Kumar Mishr issued this directive for making alternate execution of the notice while hearing the petition of Abhanpur’s Praveen Sahu.
The prosecution said a notice was issued for Mr Sahu on March 23, March 21 and June 17 but the Minister refused to take it which created unnecessary delay in the case.
Challenging the election of Mr Sahu from Abhanpur Legislative Constituency, Mr Mishr alleged that he had won the election through corrupt practices.
He alleged that Mr Sahu violated the Model Code of Conduct by luring the voters through unconstitutional methods.
The petitioner urged to nullify Mr Sahu’s election.
