GVAT Return Filing Date Extention Due to Festival Mood

Under the Gujarat VAT, last date for filing Monthly Return for the month Sept.-2009 or in case of quarterly dealer, Quarterly Return date for filing quarterly return for the Quarter ended on 30th Sept. 2009 is 30-10-2009. Considering the mood of festival of Diwali in mid of month Oct. the Government has extended the date for filing the above return upto 09-11-2009. However date for payment of taxes not extended and it remains 22-10-2009 without any extention.
