Appointment of Supreme Court Judges

In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (2) of Article 124 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint (i) Shri Justice Ananga Kumar Patnaik, Chief Justice, Madhya Pradesh High Court (ii) Shri Justice Tirath Singh Thakur, Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court, (iii) Shri Justice Kalavamkodath Sivasankara Panicker Radhakrishnan, Chief Justice, Gujarat High Court and (iv) Shri Justice Surinder Singh Nijjar, Chief Justice, Calcutta High Court in that order of seniority, to be Judges of the Supreme Court of India with effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices.
