Central Vigilance Commission asked to identify sensitive posts

THE Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has issued instructions to identify sensitive posts in various Ministries/Departments of the Union Government. The Commission has issued instructions to the organizations under its advisory jurisdiction regarding rotation of officials working in sensitive posts. As per the instructions, the organizations were to identify the sensitive posts and effect rotational transfer on these posts every 2 or 3 years to avoid development of vested interest by the people working on these posts.



The Commission has so far received response from 223 Ministries/Departme nts/organization s. Identification of sensitive posts pursuant to the circular issued bythe Commission is an ongoing process and the Commission has asked the CVOs of the organizations to ensure implementation of Commission’s guidelines in its spirit.



This information was given by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Shri Prithviraj Chavan in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today
