KOLKATA: Calcutta High Court on Friday directed police not to take action against Congress MPs Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury and Mousam Noor in a shrine pillage case till the court disposes of a revision application filed by them. The plea challenged an FIR filed by the inspector-in-charge of Englishbazar police station in Malda on the basis of a complaint by Noor's relative Shehnaz Quadri. The complainant had alleged that 200-250 men, led by the two MPs, looted offerings and donations at Piranapir Dargah at Chandipur village Apprehending arrest, the MPs initially filed applications for anticipatory bail. Subsequently, they filed a revision application challenging the legality of the FIR.
