Symbiosis Law School, Pune is organizing its First Annual National Conference on Contemporary Legal Scholarship on 6th October 2012, in Vishwabhawan Auditorium from 10:00am to 5:30pm in the background of its flagship Journal SCLJ and the student Journal SSLR scheduled to be published with Lexis Nexis.
The conference would be presided over by Hon’ble Mr. Justice S. Ravindra Bhat, Delhi High Court.
Dr. Madabhushi Sridhar (Acharyulu), shall be the Chief Guest for the occasion. Dr. Madabhushi Sridhar has written 26 books on ‘Law & Journalism’ and also with his vast experience in Law and Journalism has penned down more than 100 articles on the same and presented papers in national and international conferences, and is currently a professor of Law at National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law at Hyderabad.
The conference would see the participation of under Graduates, Post - Graduates and Research Scholars from various Law Schools of the country including NLSIU Bangalore, NLU Delhi, GLC Mumbai, Nari Gursahani Law College.
The Conference will be held in two Parallel tracks. The tracks of the conference comprise of International Law and human rights, Public Law and Governance, Business Laws and Intellectual Property Laws.
This Conference marks another small bid by Symbiosis Law School Pune in the quest for sharing knowledge and bringing together intellectual minds to work together on issues that the society and the world is dealing with today and in the process bring about solutions and provide groundwork for those solutions to grow and evolve.
Padma Bhushan Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Founder and Chancellor Symbiosis International University shall grace the occasion with the host & chairperson of the conference committee Prof. Dr. Shashikala Gurpur, Fulbright Scholar, Director, Symbiosis Law School, Pune & Dean, Faculty of Law, Symbiosis International University.
Valedictory Session shall take place from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
