Man Assaults Wife Inside Court 23 Jan 2009, 0229 hrs IST, TNN Text: New delhi : A man, engaged in a domestic violence battle with his wife, on Thursday attempted to kill her before a Metropolitan Magistrate in Karkardooma court. Vikas Jain, a resident of Prem Gali, Gandhi Nagar, had come to the Karkardooma court for the hearing of the domestic violence case registered against him by his wife Geeta. According to the eye-witnesses, outside the court of MM Sunaina Sharma, the couple got into an argument. Vikas allegedly threatened Geeta to take her complaint back or suffer dire consequences. The couple had got married in the year 2006 and was living separately from the past one and a half year. Geeta, who had come with her mother, has an altercation with her husband when the lawyers of both the parties intervened and took both of them inside the court. Vikas, got infuriated by his wife's behaviour and attacked her with a dagger which he was hiding under his shirt. He tried to slash her neck with the dagger. Geeta suffered grevious injuries while Vikas was caught by the policemen inside the court. The court ordered the arrest of the accused and a criminal case was later registered against him.
