this is also good as only the male partner is treated as wrong when he makes the relationship and if the lady makes such relations then no fault on the part of female

In fact, the adultery section must be scapped. It treats a woman as a property of husband. Extra marital Sexual relationship of a married woman is a pure personal matter. It is purely a free consent. How can anybody, man or woman, married or not be punished for sexual relationship with free consent. If at all husband wants to seek a remedy, he may seek divorce from his disloyal wife.

It is a good judgement, because women also can start adultrous relationships, and men are only not guilty of the same

Punishment does not work always. Punishments in most cases make a person as hardened criminal. Some ethical, moral and educational measures are a must to change the character of offenders. PUNISHMENT SHOULD BE RESORTED TO ONLY ON HARDENED CRIMINAL.

Once Women Claim Equality in all fields of life and law then why she also should not face the same consequences for committing the same crime for which till date as per our law, only men are punished ?This law in I.P.C. was enacted in 1861 and needs drastic changes, wherein now our Hon'ble Apex Court have even legalised gay and live-in relatioships.

I totally agree. Because of this bias rule...family is no longer having that family values. Specially Metro Wife’s, this has become an epidemic. The sooner this law is passes the better for our society and we can once again start believing in “The Institution of Marriage"
