Dear ponnapallidurgarao, Your views, "every one has right to live" are quite relevant in normal course on the citizen of the country (India), as provisions of your country's constitution are applicable on the citizens of India, not on any Pakistany national or in case of enemy operations led by the enemy country's top army organisation, like the terrorist party came to India and started butchering the human beings blindly, like an enemy of the country. ..... The question arises, what if a person considers that none else except him has the right to live even in other country's territory? ...... Another question arises, if the formula of "every one has right to live" is to be applied, in that sense, if your own neighbour comes to your house and opens reckless fire on your family members, as a whole, and he is captured by you or police, would you release him without any action or would request the court to release him because he has the right to live?

The crime Kasab has committed is too huge to even think about granting a mercy petition.

No, every one has right to live. In the present case even though Kasab is a terrorist and a criminal, the president cannot and could not straight away the reject the mercy petition.

The question arises, is there any provision for mercy for foreign invaders for invasion against the nation had there been an army operation, when the enemy had no intention to surrender voluntarily as a matter of repentnce, regret, shame or apology?

The answer from me is a big YES because he is not a human being rather he is an animal. he shot many of the families by killing a single member of them. Kasab is an exception to whom human rights can not be provided.

Immediately it should be rejected, but president has no dare to do so, because he is congress man and he is eye on minority vote. Kasab will enjoy the indian tax payers money. So called intellectuals and human rights people are enemies of india, who is supporting kasab.

India wants to show that there is rule of law for terrorists, but not for law abiding common Indians Hence matter will move to various ministries and departments of state govt for nearly 10 years or may be till natural death of Kasab at 85 or 100 years age. Till that time he will enjoy Indian biriyani at our cost.

Kasab should not be given mercy as the deed done by him is not of a human being but is of a devil and in any case devils should not be relieved or given mercy.....

Though all we know Kasab does not deserve any mercy but our country is now known for rules of law, hence all due process of law must be followed but it must be time bound. Tribhuwan Pandey
