DESCRIPTION OF MAIN DUTIES:

 

(i)         Legal Advisor and professional consultant to a large number of corporate houses, industrial groups and people involved in trade, business and commerce.  This apart, professional consultant to nearly 50 professional firms of Chartered Accountants in the State of Andhra Pradesh who day in and day out seek advice on corporate, tax planning, expenditure management, legislative clarifications and other related matters connected to taxation of their clients who are mostly in business and Income Tax payers.

 

(ii)        Having gained adequate knowledge and expertise in various legislations, the SECURITIES EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA LTD. (Apex Regulating Body set up by Govt. of India to control and issue necessary notifications in running of Stock Exchanges and other matters related to finance & capital markets, Securities, Stocks, Shares, etc.) recommended and approved my name for nomination of Statutory Committee (Arbitration Committee) of Hyderabad Stock Exchange Ltd. to be the Public Representative for the years 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001.

 

(iii)       The State Government of Andhra Pradesh in pursuance of their Public Enterprise Reform Programme, set-up Implementation Secretariat and I was taken by them as Consultant to discharge the duties of a Liquidator in voluntary liquidation of public sector corporations/liquidation of co-operative societies.

In the month of July, 1986, I completed my education in Sir C.R.Reddy Law College, Eluru, West Godavari District, and I shifted to Hyderabad for further career and professional development and got enrolled with the Bar Council of the State of Andhra Pradesh and since July, 1986 to August, 1988 worked in the Chambers of Mr.S.Parvatha Rao, the then advocate and later was Judge, High Court of Andhra Pradesh and Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission at Hyderabad.  During this period of July, 1986 to August, 1988, I had a privilege of learning system of Legislation, Executive Government`s functions and Judiciary and their role in moulding public and private societal set-up.  This period was a milestone in my career as it opened up gateways and access to justice and other services relating to fabric of society and system.

 

OTHER ACTIVITIES: Being a management committee member of Hyderbad-Sub Chapter of India Branch of  International Fiscal Association and being active member of various other professional bodies or Chamber of Commerce, I have been attending to various seminars, conferences, international study tours in India and other countries like Singapore, Hongkong, Koulalumpur, Bangkok etc.
