About me

I am a retired Electrical Engineer from Railways.

Has any body noted what Indian Electricty Rules 1956 stipulate for the safety of Electrical over head lines.

If the rules are not followed and electrical accident takes place, why no action is taken against the guilty officials who are responsible for such accidents.

For example 11000 volt overhead lines are not maintained at a minimum height of 6.1 Meters (20Feet) as laid down in rule No 77.

In many cases the vehicles moving on the road or street come in contact with  dangling wires and the occupants are killed.

Why no action is taken against erring officials. There is a need to file a PIL for the safety of human lives.

I appeal to the learned lawyers of this country to think over this problem.
