I did my schooling  at St.Patrick's Higher Secondary School, Asansol (West Bengal) and at Burnpur Riverside School, Burnpur (West Bengal), before pursuing my Legum Baccalaureus (Post Graduate) degree from Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College, under the aegis of the University of Calcutta, Kolkata (West Bengal). Then, having practiced law as an Advocate at the Sub-Divisional Court at Asansol, I completed my Legum Magister degree from the College of Social Sciences and International Studies, University of Exeter, Exeter, U.K. and also attended a Certificate Course on International Humanitarian Law at the Istituto Internazionale di Diritto Umanitario, San Remo, Italy. Presently I am practicing as an Advocate at the High Court at Calcutta.
