Section : Amendment of First Schedule to the Constitution.

4. Amendment of First Schedule to the Constitution. On and from
the appointed day, in the First Schedule to the Constitution,--

(a) under the heading "I. THE STATES", after entry 23, the
following entry shall be inserted, namely:--

"24. Arunachal Pradesh The territories specified in
section 7 of the North-Eastern Areas (Reorganisation) Act, 1971.";

(b) under the heading "II. THE UNION TERRITORIES", entry 8
relating to Arunachal Pradesh shall be omitted.
