Section : Authority of judicial decisions.

4.Authority of judicial decisions.-Nothing herein contained shall be construed to give to any judicial decision any further or other authority than it would have had if this Act had not been passed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. The Act has been extended to and brought into force in Dadra and Nagar Haveli by Reg. 6 of 1963, s. 2 and Sch. I (w.e.f 1-7-1965) and to the whole of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep by Reg. 8 of 1965, s. 3 and Sch. (w.e.f. 1-10-1963). 2.preamble rep. by the A. O. 1937. 3.Subs. by Act 3 of 1951, for "except Part B States". 4. 1st January, 1876, vide Notification No. 22, dated the 23rd November, 1875, Gazette of India, 1875, Pt. 1, P. 589. 5.Subs. by Act 3 of 1951, for "decided on or after the said day by any High Court for a Part A State". 6.Subs. by the Adaptation of Laws (No. 2) Order, 1956 for "Part A State or a Part B State". 7.The original words "the G. G. in C." have successively been amended by the Devolution Act, 1920 (38 of 1920), the A, O 1937 and the A.
