Section : Certain offences to be cognizable.

23.Certain offences to be cognizable. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal 8. Procedure, 1898, (5 of 1898.)1[the following offences shall be deemed to be cognizable within the meaning of that Code, namely: (a)an offence falling under sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) of section 20 in so far as it relates to the failure to comply with any requisition made under sub-section (3) of section 8 ; (b) an offence falling under clause (d) of section 20; (c)an offence falling under clause (e) of section 20 other than a contravention of the provisions of sub- section (3A) or sub-section (4) of section 15 ; (d) an offence falling under section 21].
