Section : Cognizance of offences.

33M. Cognizance of offences. (1) No prosecution under this Chapter shall be instituted except by an Inspector. 3*["with the previous sanction of the authority specified under sub-section (4) of section 33G"]. (2) No Court inferior to that 4*[of a Metropolitan Magistrate or of a Judicial Magistrate of the first class"] shall try an offence punishable under this Chapter.
