Section : Current indexes and entries therein.

54. Current indexes and entries therein.-In every office in whichany of the books hereinbefore mentioned are kept, there shall beprepared current indexes of the contents of such books; and everyentry in such indexes shall be made, so far as practicable,immediately after the registering officer has copied, or filed amemorandum of, the document to which it relates.
