Section : Failure to surrender certificate of registration.

50.Failure to surrender certificate of registration.If any person whose name has been removed from a register fails without sufficient cause forthwith, to surrender his certificate of registration 3[or certificate of renewal, or both], he shall be punishable with fine which may extend to fifty rupees per month of such failure and in the case of a continuing offence with an additional fine which ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1Subs. by Act 58 of 1950, s. 3 (retrospectively), for "two years". 2Subs. by Act 12 of 1955, s. 15, for "the commencement of this Act". 3Ins. by Act 42 of 1972, s. 25 (w.e.f. 1-11-1972). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 93A may extend to two rupees per day after the first day during which the offence continues.
