Section : High Court and Chief Controlling Revenue-authority to fix fees oncivil and revenue-proceedings.

27. High Court and Chief Controlling Revenue-authority to fixfees on civil and revenue proceedings. The High Court shall, from timeto time, fix and regulate the fees payable by any party in respect ofthe fees of his adversary's advocate, pleader, vakil, mukhtar orattorney upon all proceedings (a) on the appellate side of such Court,(b) in the case of a High Court not established by Royal Charter, onits original side, and (c) in subordinate Courts, 2*[and in respect ofthe fees of his adversary's revenue-agent appearing, pleading oracting under section 10]. The Chief Controlling Revenue-authority 1* shall, from time totime, fix and regulate the fees payable upon all proceedings in therevenue-offices by any party in respect of the fees of his adversary'sadvocate, pleader, vakil, attorney, mukhtar or revenue-agent. Tables of the fees so fixed shall be published in the OfficialGazette.Exception as to agents mentioned in section 20. Nothing in this section applies to the agents mentioned in theproviso to section 20.
