Section : Measures for lighting.

233. Measures for lighting. The Chairperson shall-- (a) take measures for lighting in a suitable manner all such public streets and public places as may be specified by him; (b) procure, erect and maintain such number of lamps, lamp posts and other appurtenances as may be necessary for the said purpose; (c) cause such lamps to be lighted by means of oil, electricity or such other light as he may determine.
