Notice of accident.
32A. Notice of accident.- Where in any plantation, an accident occurs which causes death or which causes any bodily injury to a worker by reason of which the worker injured is prevented from working for a period of forty-eight hours or more immediately following the accident, or which is of such a nature as may be prescribed in this behalf, the employer thereof shall send notice thereof to such authorities, in such form, and within such time, as may be prescribed. --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Ins. by Act 58 of 1981, s. 12 (w.e.f. 26-1-1982). * On the enforcement of the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 (53 of 1961), in a State, s. 32 will be read with the following modifications in relation to that State, namely:-- (a) in sub-section (1), the letter and brackets "(a)" before the words "in the case of sickness" the word "and" after the words "sickness allowance" and clause (b) shall be omitted; (b) in sub-section (2), the words "or maternity" shall be omitted. 300E
