Section : Order of court to be construed to be order made by specified officer.

1*[8. Order of court to be construed to be order made byspecified officer.-In the application of section 5, 6 and 7 to anyinvestigation or inquiry referred to in sub-clause (iii) of clause (4)of section 2, the order of a court or a Judge referred to in the saidsections shall be construed as referring to an order made by anofficer of a rank not lower than the rank of a Superintendent ofPolice as may be specified in this behalf by the appropriateGovernment. Explanation.--In this section, "appropriate Government" means theGovernment by which the police officer or any other person conductingthe investigation or inquiry is employed.]----------------------------------------------------------------------1.
