Section : Payment of medical bonus.

8. Payment of medical bonus.- Every woman entitled to maternity benefit under this Act shall also be entitled to receive from her employer a medical bonus of 1*[two hundred and fifty rupees], if no pre-natal confinement and post-natal care is provided for by the employer free of charge.

Further, vide notification No. S.O. 2016(E) dated 19th December, 2011, the amount of medical bonus has been increased from Rs. 2500/- to Rs. 3500/-..Kindly update this notification in the act.

Vide S O 2016(E) dated 11.08.2008, publisheed in Gazette of India, Extra., Pt. II, Sec. 3(ii, the Central Govt. has increased the amount of medical bonus from one thousand rupee to two thousand five hundred rupees w.e.f 11.08.2008. As I obsere, the site has not still updated it, nor marked it as a comments to note.
