Section : Punishment for false averment in petition or declaration.

282. Punishment for false averment in petition or declaration.-Ifany petition or declaration which is hereby required to be verifiedcontains any averment which the person making the verification knowsor believes to be false, such person shall be deemed to have committedan offence under section 193 of the Indian Penal Code. (45 of 1860.)
