Section : Punjab Legislative Council.

37. Punjab Legislative Council. (1) As from the appointed day there shall be a Legislative Council for the new State of Punjab. (2) 3*[Until otherwise provided by law] the said Council shall consist of-- (a) all the sitting members of the Legislative Council of the existing State of Punjab; and (b) six persons to be elected in such manner as may be prescribed by the members of the Legislative Assembly of the existing State of Patiala and East Punjab States Union from amongst persons who are not members of that Assembly. 4* * * * *
