Section : Registered documents relating to property when to take effect againstoral agreements.

48. Registered documents relating to property when to take effectagainst oral agreements.-All non-testamentary documents dulyregistered under this Act, and relating to any property, whethermovable or immovable, shall take effect against any oral agreement ordeclaration relating to such property, unless where the agreement ordeclaration has been accompanied or followed by delivery of possession1*[and the same constitutes a valid transfer under any law for thetime being in force: Provided that a mortgage by deposit or title-deeds as defined insection 58 of the Transfer of Property Act, 1882 (4 of 1882), shalltake effect against any mortgage-deed subsequently executed andregistered which relates to the same property].
