Section : Short title.

1. Short title. (1) This Act may be called the Land Improvement Loans Act, 1883. Local extent, Commencement. (2) It extends to the whole of India except 2*[the territories which, immediately before the 1st November, 1956, were comprised in Part B States], but shall not come into force in any part of 3*[the territories to which this Act extends] until such date as the State Government 4*** may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
