THE TEZPUR UNIVERSITY ACT, 1993 ACT NO. 45 OF 1993 [1st June, 1993 An Act to establish and incorporate a teaching and residential Uni- versity in the State of Assam at Tezpur and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Forty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Tezpur University Act, 1993. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Govern- ment may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
