THE PUNJAB GRAM PUNCHAYAT, SAMITIES AND ZILLAPARISHAD, (CHANDIGARH REPEAL) ACT, 1994 ACT NO. 27 OF 1994 [23rd April, 1994.] An Act to repeal the Punjab Gram Punchayat Act, 1952 and the Punjab Panchayat Samities and Zilla Parishads Act, 1961 as in Force in the Union territory of Chandigrah. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Forty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Punjab Gram Panchayat, Samities and Zilla Parishad (Chandigarh Repeal) Act, 1994. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
