THE MAINTENANCE ORDERS ENFORCEMENT ACT, 1921 ACT NO. 18 OF 1921* [5th October, 1921.] An Act to facilitate the enforcement in 1*[India] of Maintenance Orders made 2*[3*** in 4*[reciprocating territories]], 5*** and vice versa. WHEREAS it is expedient to facilitate the enforcement in 1*[India] of Maintenance Orders made 2*[3*** in 4*[reciprocating territories]], 5*** and vice versa; It is hereby enacted as follows:- 1. Short title and extent. (1) This Act may be called the Maintenance Orders Enforcement Act, 1921. 6*[(2) It extends to the whole of India 7*[except the State of Jammu and kashmir].]
