THE COMMERCIAL DOCUMENTS EVIDENCE ACT, 1939ACT No. 30 OF 1939 1*[26th September, 1939.]An Act to amend the Law of Evidence with respect to certain commercialdocuments. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Law of Evidence with respectto certain commercial documents; It is hereby enacted as follows:-- 1. Short title and extent.-(1) This Act may be called theCommercial Documents Evidence Act, 1939. (2) It extends to the whole of India except 2*[the territorieswhich, immediately before the 1st November, 1956, were comprised inPart B States].
