THE RAILWAY COMPANIES (EMERGENCY PROVISIONS) ACT, 1951 ACT NO. 51 OF 1951 [14th September, 1951.] An Act to make provision for the proper management and administration of railway companies in certain special cases. 1. Short title, extent and application. (1) This Act may be called the Railway Companies (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1951. (2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. (3) It applies to every railway company in respect of which a notified order has been issued under section 3.
