Section : Short title, extent and commencement.

1.Short title, extent and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Police (Incitement to Disaffection) Act, 1922. 1*[(2) It extends to the whole of India except 2*[the territories which, immediately before the 1st November, 1956, were comprised in Part B States].] (3) It shall come into force in any State or part of a State on such date' as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct.
