Section : Short title, extent, application and commencement.

THE STATE EMBLEM OF INDIA (PROHIBITION OF IMPROPER USE) ACT, 2005NO. 50 OF 2005[20th December, 2005.]An Act to prohibit the improper use of State Emblem of India for professional and commerical purpose and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-1. Short title, extent, application and commencement.-(1) This Act may be called the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005.(2) It extends to the whole of India, and also applies to citizens of India outside India.(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
