Section : Supply of water.

158. Supply of water. (1) The Chairperson may permit the owner, lessee or occupier of any premises to connect the premises by means of supply pipes for conveying to the premises a supply of water for his domestic purposes from the municipal water works subject to the requirements specified in section 159 and the conditions, if any, laid down in the bye-laws made in this behalf. (2) The owner of every premises connected with the municipal water works, shall, when so required by the Chairperson, set up electric pumps or other contrivances whereby water may be caused to reach to the top of the top-most story of such premises.
