SECTION 291: APPLICATION OF ACT IV OF 1899

- For the purposes ofthe Government Buildings Act, 1899, cantonments anda[Boards] shall be deemed to be municipalities and municipal authorities respectivelyb[and the references to State Government insection 4of that Act shall be construed as references io Central Government].Act 15 of 1913, Clause 164.- This clause seek! io amendsection 291of (he Act to provide that with reference to the application ofthe Government Buildings Act, 1899within a cantonment, the power of a State Government under that Act should be consurued as vesting in the Central Government.- Gaz. of Ind., 9-7-1982, Pi.
