Section : COGNIZANCE OF OFFENCES BY COURTS

SECTION 34: COGNIZANCE OF OFFENCES BY COURTS

- (1) No court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Act save on a complaint made by or under the authority of the Government or the Bureau or by any Government or the Bureau, or any consumer or any association recognised in this behalf by the Central or State Government.

(2) No Court inferno to that of a Metropolitan Magistrate or a Judicial Magistrate of the first class specially empowered in this behalf shall try any offence punishable under this Act.
