SECTION 29: PENALTIES FOR CONTRAVENTION OF SECTION 2 OR ANY ORDER MADE UNDER SECTION 17

-If any person contravenes the provisions of Section 2-or any order made under Section 17-he shall, without prejudice to any confiscation or penalty to which he may be liable under the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962)-, be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to one thou- sand rupees, or with both.
