30. Penalty for breach of rules. Any regulation or rule madeunder section 28 or section 29 1*[may direct that a personcontravening such regulation or rule shall be punishable, in the caseof a first offence, with fine which may extend to one hundred rupees,and in the case of any subsequent offence, with fine which may extendto one thousand rupees].
